Potos, althought a nice place itself, is not the
center of the universe. There are a lot of nice beaches
and other beutyfull corners waiting for you to explore
them,even in a couple of kilometers distance!!
Walks to Limenaria (the major village in south thassos)with
the impresive old iron factory,the bazar every monday
in Prinos ,a visit to the monastry of Archangel e.t.c.are
highly recommended. In the center of the island Theologos
the ex-capital town of Thassos is the oldest village
in the new Thassian history, Maries,Kazavity,Panagia
e.t.c.are places who can offer you a time-trip to
the near past of Thassian history and archeological
sides like the Ancient temple and marble mines in
Aliki or the ancient theater in Limenas can take you
even further back in history!!
